Sparkle like gold

The incredible story of the golden Buddha statue that was masked and forgotten beneath a layer of clay for centuries until a piece of the coating chipped off to reveal the glorious golden artifact that it truly was, has been told and retold. It is an important tale that symbolizes our rediscovery of our inner worth. Joni Mitchell sang the truth: “We are stardust. We are golden.”

“Just because you are soft doesn’t mean you are not a force. Honey and wildfire are both the colour gold.”

~Victoria Erickson

“Just as in the story of the Golden Buddha, sooner or later the chisels of life’s trials pick away at our armor. And this dismantling is wonderful, for there is no greater tragedy than hiding behind something that we are not, living a life that is less than we are. The universe is continuously working to remind us of our identity and our purpose. If we are living a life that is untrue to our soul’s calling, our inner guide will not let us rest until we step back onto our true course.” Alan Cohen, Dare to be Yourself
