A Time To Pray

“A weak faith is weakened by predicaments and catastrophes,

whereas a strong faith is strengthened by them.” ~ Victor Frankl

Let me not pray to be sheltered from dangers

but to be fearless in facing them.

Let me not beg for the stilling of my pain,

but for the heart to conquer it.

Let me not look for allies in life’s battlefield

but to my own strength.

~ Rabindranath Tagore

“Humanity is never so beautiful as when praying for forgiveness,

or else forgiving another.” ~Jean Paul

I love the fact that you used a Tagore quote!!! He was from Calcutta where I live now!! Yaaayy!! 🙂 Maybe it is a sign! Oh, how exciting I love “treasure hunts!” Must find out what the sign means! 🙂

That is wonderful! Another India connection between us, and this one I’d overlooked – unlike the Thomas Merton prayer that he delivered in Calcutta. Thanks for reminding me about Tagore, sweet Line. 🙂 Love and Light, Gina

I believe Victor Frankl’s comment about faith is equally true for relationships. Thank you for this post, my friend.

Pray for each other because we are in this together. 🙂

Overflowing with goodness! Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong.

Forgiveness is the essential ingredient to healing. We cannot move on without it.
