Try Try and Try Again

have courage try again

“People can’t live with change if there’s not a changeless core inside of them. The key to the ability to change is a changeless sense of who you are, what you are about, and what you value.” ~Stephen Covey

  1. Oh change! Both scary and exciting Gina. I love the Stephen Covey message that there is a changeless part inside all of us that gives us the strength the change….great and really helpful. I hadn’t read that before Gina, so thank you, as always, for bringing inspiration to me in my little place in Australia.

    With gratitude
    Lucy 🙂

    1. You may be down under but I feel your warm friendship right here with me! Yes that Covey quote really struck a deep chord with me as well, and I’m so glad you enjoyed it! Scary and exciting change indeed. Always better than stagnating.
🙂 With gratitude for you, Gina

    1. I agree Cathy! I love Stephen Covey’s quote here, it speaks to the importance of that inner security you mention. Reminds me a little bit of the saying that those who don’t know what they stand for will fall for anything.

  2. Oh, yes, I have such a place inside of me! And it has really helped me. When I worked as a social worker in India, I stayed in a convent where there was only an iron bed, a straw mattress, and only a whole in the ground for you-know-what, it was like worse than a prison cell in Norway, and cockroaches and rats, OH MY GOODNESS GRACIOUS! But I closed my eyes and stayed in the beautiful place inside, and it made me smile and feel happy, and it did not matter where I was 🙂

    1. WOW! Line I hadn’t realized your kind and compassionate heart has lead you on such lowly travels. It speaks to me with a glimpse of insight into the depths of your wise and light heart. You have discovered that steady rock within. Bless your heart Line for all you have shared and done already, and the beauty just waiting to be expressed from that huge heart of yours! I’m delighted to be near enough to watch and learn! Love, Gina

      1. I was working with children in the slums and thought I should experience their struggles. It was horrible, but I learned sooooo much and my empathy and understanding expanded even more 🙂 Thank you so much for your incredibly kind words! You are a blessing and a beautiful inspiring and encouraging light in my life!! Thank you wonderful Gina for being your extraordinary self! 🙂 Lots of Love to you!

        1. Lots of Love back to you! Your experiences are incredible. There is no empathy like really being there. I am deeply compassionate towards those struggling with poverty, depression, loss of hope faith or direction, addiction struggles. Deepest empathy comes from having seen touched and lived through that kind of darkness. It makes the brightness of life even more expansive, and it makes me want to share more Light. I am so thankful we can inspire each other along this bright path Line. xo

    1. HOORAY!! Happy happy birthday to you sweet Cissy! I am delighted that one of the places you visited to begin this special day was here, that I may add to it. I’m so glad you were born, and I celebrate with you! Cheers! xo Gina

  3. Beautiful post/blog I’ve discovered here because Dr. Rex re-blogged it. My thanks to both of you! I’m on a journey to find peace. Possibly Oprah’s quote, “You get in life what you have the courage to ask for” is coming true . ..♥
