New Growth

A rose must be pruned to bloom in all its fullness. Clinging to what belongs to the past will stifle our beauty. Cut away what is done and gone. Allow new growth to arise from the emptiness that remains. There is great power in letting go. Let go. Have no fear. Fresh wisdom is born of the courage to surrender. Certainly something fresh and beautiful will come to bloom. ~ Ann Mortifee, In Love With The Mystery

Be soft. Do not let the world make you hard. Do not let pain make you hate. Do not let bitterness steal your sweetness. Take pride that even though the rest of the world may disagree, you still believe it to be a beautiful place. ~Anonymous

  1. I love that: “Be soft”. I have so many times been told to toughen up, throughout my whole life in fact, but I have never been able to. So I stay the person I am, never mind the world πŸ™‚

  2. Oh dear Gina, how aligned we are! I have just finished a little writing on this – the power of letting go and allowing what is fresh, ‘fresh wisdom’ space in our lives. And how beautiful your images and quotes are Gina!

  6. Joy is the serious business of heaven. C.S. Lewis

I used to want to avoid hell, but wasn’t very excited about any heaven I could imagine enjoying for eternity. Then I experienced a moment of joy so intense, that I asked God to take it away for fear of simply exploding. Now decades later,I can only remember the echo of it, but I remember thinking at the time, if this is a taste of heaven, eternity is too short.
