Be The Change

Thank you, Scott Sorrell, for these words of wisdom.

It is a universal truth for us to start within if we wish to see change outside.

As Gandhi taught us all,

“Be the change you wish to see in the world.”Ā

I endeavour to do my part, every day.

Namaste.

Yes, yes, yes! I have this quote by Ghandi as a sticker in my car. I also have songs that urge me to be the change. It’s true I can’t change the whole world, but what makes me so happy is that I can touch the life of the person around me–and even a couple more!

Great post, Gina. Keep the gospel alive.

Hello Uzoma! I love that you have the Gandhi quote as a sticker in your car! What a wonderful reminder it is. I agree whole-heartedly with everything you’ve said here, and it makes me happy to be a source of cheer and kindness to every person who crosses my path as I go about my day also. And if I can touch a few more here, that is a bonus! Bless your heart, kind man, for being a living gospel indeed. Namaste, Gina

I have a ring that says that very quote “Be the change you wish to see in the world.”
I wear it every single day. It is such a delight when someone asks me what it says and I get to tell them.
So much truth in just one little sentence. šŸ™‚
    Excellent post!

Mary Elizabeth, I adore the fact that you have the Gandhi quote on a ring! How very cool is that. Especially that the words would be tiny, and would encourage others to ask what it says, and you get to share and get people pondering and discussing this important concept. Good for you! And thank you so much for your delightful comment šŸ™‚ Hugs, Gina

Wished more people would think that way and improve themselves and be more loving and kind. We cannot say it often enough and striving for being better persons. Great post , good reminder! šŸ™‚

Thank you Ute, and well put – that we simply cannot say it enough. Turning inward and working on ourselves then naturally reflects outward and helps create a better world. It is a simple and powerful concept. Thanks again for your wonderful comment šŸ™‚ Cheers, Gina

This couldn’t be more true, and it’s the thought that can be the brakes when our runaway cars have some other intent in mind. šŸ™‚
I just used this quote in a job I worked on; thought you would enjoy it – “How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world.” ~Anne Frank
