I am honored that this blog has been nominated for The Sunshine Award from two delightful writers. It is given to “bloggers who positively and creatively inspire others in the blogosphere.” Thank you so kindly to Genie at Genie Speaks and Nezha at Arab Writer Chick. Both of these writers inspire me on a daily basis.
Genie is a joyful ray of sunshine and her blog is a true delight. Every visit to her blog warms my heart, makes me smile, and often makes me laugh out loud!
Nezha is an incredibly talented writer with a true gift for poetry. I love following her beautiful blog and enjoying her moving poetry that she generously shares.
Warm thanks again to you both!
The steps to take, preferably with joy (see my previous post)
1. Include the award logo somewhere in your blog.
2. Answer these 10 questions, below, for fun if you want to.
3. Nominate 10 to 12 blogs you enjoy. Or you pick the number.
4. Pay the love forward: Provide your nominee’s link in your post and comment on their blog to let them know they’ve been included and invited to participate.
5. Pay the love back with gratitude and a link to the blogger(s) who nominated you.
~I am not adding a note about each blog this time, as I have done with my past awards. I encourage you to visit and discover on your own how they deserve The Sunshine Award because they all positively and creatively inspire. Also some (or all) of these writers may choose to not participate in this award process but I still want this chance to help you, dear reader, to find these blogs and perhaps be inspired by what they contain, if you haven’t found them already. ~Gina
In alphabetical order, just because…
What is your favorite color?
~The color of my own eyes for that is the gift with which I can see all colors.
What is your favorite animal?
~All of them. I am a huge fan of nature-documentaries and am a biologist at heart. Every beetle, vulture, octopus, lion, mouse, elk…. every animal is my favorite. Granted it’s awful that there are mosquitos carrying deadly viruses, and I’ve been stung by both wasps and jellyfish, and I’m not overjoyed with ants farming aphids in my vegetable patch, but when I watch documentaries and see with eyes of God, I find that every animal is amazing. I mean, really… ants are farmers? That is cool.
What is your favorite non-alcoholic drink?
~A cool glass of water. So precious and I love it. A close second is mild green tea. Yum.
Do you prefer Facebook or Twitter?
~Undecided… still contemplating social media…
What’s your passion?
~Continually learning and constantly cherishing the love of God in my heart and being so full that my heart overflows into the hearts of others. That’s my ongoing learning experience and my daily passion.
What’s your favorite pattern?
~All the patterns found in Nature. Clouds and tree branches and fields of grass all have ever-changing patterns that fascinate and mesmerize me.
Do you prefer giving or getting presents?
~I adore celebrations and get most excited about giving a gift but my inner-child honestly delights in receiving a present as well.
What’s your favorite number?
~All of them. Numbers are cool.
Favorite day of the week?
~Again, all of them. Ok, wait… maybe Wednesday because I think it’s funny to say ‘hump-day’ or perhaps Friday when my husband and I wish each other to have a ‘fabulously fulfilling Friday’!
~Asking this of a gardener is rather impossible to answer, like which of my children is my favorite. But I do know that I adore gardening with native species because once established they thrive with less watering and more flowering~!
Whew… I got through the whole list! More fun than I expected, once I got myself past the word ‘favorite’ which I have some resistance to. So I just had some fun. I hope you did too.
Blessings and gratitude to all of the writers, photographers and poets in this nominated list, and beyond, who share their inner gifts with us all in this wonderful world of blogging. And I know I missed others in this list as I really could have kept going, but this is where I shall stop for now. Who knows? Maybe soon I’ll finally finish making that blogroll for my sidebar to share more of the love around. And ~as always~ much love and gratitude to you, dear reader, for visiting my blog and being the very reason why I enjoy writing every day.
